    Front driveshaft CV joint

I am actually from Fort Wayne. They have a good reputation so I would imagine that would be a quality part.

    Front driveshaft CV joint

I honestly thought you looked up the price for the wrong part or something. I bought a new GM shaft 3 years ago. I looked at the email and it was $257 delivered. And I thought inflation was cooling off!!!! Still, given the choice I'd gladly pay $1,000 for a GM shaft compared to a cheaper...

Not like every other H3 running hot thread, hear me out.

I think you answered your own question. Diagnostic tree in the service manual lists 225 as the temperature to continue diagnosing an overheating condition. You're under that so I wouldn't worry.

    ISO H3 OEM U-Steps

U Steps are removable steps that attach to the factory sliders. Through a weird circumstance, I ended up with about 20 sets of these years ago and sold several of them on the forums. Hopefully someone still has a set taking up garage space. They are pretty hard to find.

    Crabwalking H3…

Wow! It really works too! Did you see how easily he cut across two lanes of traffic at the last second? Nice!

What did you do with your H3 recently? NEW

Went on a road trip to Savannah and Tybee Island, GA for vacation and a college visit for my daughter. Originally, I was going to take the IROC, however after further consideration, I was worried that forcing my daughter to ride in the back seat of a Camaro might be considered child abuse...

    Oil usage observations

I don't have anything constructive to add at this point ..other than bragging maybe! We took our first road trip in Hummer #3 last week. For reference, by the time Hummer #1 was forced into retirement at 303,000 miles, it was a pretty heavy drinker. On long trips I always carried plenty of...

    Hummer EV supercharging?

Congratulations! You're going to have one lucky kid. He or she will be the only one on the block with a lifted Power Wheels running over all the Barbie cars!

    Uneven tire tread

Honestly, I see nothing in your picture to be at all concerned about. Looks normal. Check over your suspension components. If everything is good, I think you're alright. If you haven't had an alignment in a while, it never hurts.

5 Speed H3 Things To Look For?

Nothing. Rock solid. Edit: May have posted initially with a manual transmission bias, but in all seriousness, I never had any issues at all over 300,000 miles.

H3 Power seat issue - won't move backwards

I had the same problem. It’s been so long, I can’t give you any step by step directions from memory, but I took the switch apart, cleaned everything up and reassembled it. Never gave me any more problems.

What did you do with your H3 recently? NEW

First camping trip of the season. I’m running behind this year. Camping at Charlestown (Indiana) SP with parents and sister for a few days. Also, first outing since removing the wrap. I was dreading that task, but it was super easy. Definitely helped that it was high quality vinyl and less...

Wow, I got a lesson in LS lifter failures!

Sorry about your luck. I know the AFM on these can cause issues, but the overall failure rate is still really low. Someone has to be the guy that gets the bad luck, and I really hate that it happened to be you this time. For all that’s involved, I think you got a fair deal on the repair.

Duralast water pump died less than 20k miles

I’ve largely gotten to the point that if an item is not electronic, and does not have any moving parts, store brand or Dorman is OK. Otherwise, I’ve spent enough time over the years pulling out stuff for warranty exchanges that I stick only with GM, Delco, or highly respected brands (Moog...

Bronco Raptor For Sale (Not mine)

This showed up at the local Ford dealer today. If money were no object, this thing would have been in my driveway tonight. Sticker is $81,000. Salesman said he has two guys going back and forth on it with a current offer of $106,000. Also has a green 2 door on the lot. Sticker is $66,000...

    Oil usage observations

Thanks for sharing what you found. Our first H3 started using oil around 100K, which worried me at the time. I’d not had another modern car that started using oil that early. It still went another 200k though. If one of our current H3s starts using oil, I’ll keep this in mind as I never...

What did you do with your H3 recently? NEW

Took a few photos pictures for posterity before I begin removing the wrap. The camo is just not my thing. I was torn. I know what the previous owner paid for it, and it wasn’t cheap so I hate to just rip it all off. I seriously considered offering it up for trade in case someone really...

Please guys,Need help after new CVs

My guess is the CV axles, but if you want to take the time and know for sure, pull them and go for another short drive. That will tell you for sure. Personally, I’d be confident enough I’d just put the GM ones in you ordered.

    Roof top tent H2

When looking at the weight ratings, keep in mind they are dynamic loads (i.e. driving down the highway). The static load, the tent and occupants while parked is going to be over the maximum most likely, but still will not cause damage.
