2009 5spd with the original 3.7 @ 173k
...spent the last 4yrs & 70k debating whether or not to attempt the elusive v8 swap (given i've only seen one guy who got it working right)
simply subscribing so i can find this later. if our 3.7 has a bad head gasket (and i can reach Shawn Townsend regarding his OS), a LH8 might finally be our future.
yep! it all depends on what use it's seen.
ours got to where the pedal had to be on the floor for it to disengage; turned out the slave started leaking if it got real cold out. that was at 150k miles. i put a whole new setup in while it was apart & discovered that at some point before 102k...
may as well get plugged into this thread... i remember from YEARS ago that it had lots of good info, and if this 3.7 has a bad head gasket, then a LH8 might be in our future.
...assuming we can find that ONE guy who ever got a v8 swapped manual to work out right with the tune.

forgot to check back in on this.
it ain't happened but a handful of times recently... but on a t-giving road trip this year, i noticed it happen a couple times while i was driving, and the engine temp showed full cold (having been on the road for hours & immediately prior showing right in the...
weird that i hadn't come across these discussions over the years.
ours is approaching 160k and didn't used to burn but a quart of oil every 5000mi change interval... but ever since we moved up into the mountains last summer - where our road is at the top of a three mile 6% grade @ 4000ft...
weird. in the last couple years, i've got extended temps from AZ and TX on the last two vehicles we bought when both had title delays.
sounds like MI has stupid rules.
dang!!! did you make it home alright?! that's where your transmission fluid drain plug's supposed to be!!
okay - not really
we've got the same on our 2009 - assuming it's so you can either put a tiny bore scope up there... or to give a place for the fluid to drip out (or...
