Hey everyone, Well, life's a journey so I thought it was time for new scenery. A few days ago, I left California for the last time. If things keep going to plan, I'll get the keys to my new house outside Boise, Idaho tomorrow. Can't wait to explore the area! I already found a HAM radio club...

I fear scopeaid.com may have gone out of business. It's not possible to place orders and they have been unresponsive to emails and voicemails. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I have used them in the past and their product works well.

This trip was also, coincidentally, the first time I shot my 1911 and CZ 75 compact back to back. I was pretty surprised by how much smoother the 1911 is in terms of recoil. I know, comparing apples to oranges.

I got the 1-6 strike eagle. Good scope. I do, however need to get a thing from scopeaid.com for both this scope and the one I have on my Browning 6.5 CM bolt action rifle.

I'm heading out to camp and shoot my new rifle this weekend. Should be a good time.

I settled on a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x illuminated optic. It was very reasonably priced and in stock. I get to bring the rifle home on Wednesday.

Got to shoot the new rifle today. I now see why AR style rifles are so popular. It was very easy and comfortable to shoot. -Gotta figure out something for optics though

Do you shoot hollow points, JHP or ball or something else?

So next question: Should I get a red dot or some form of optic for the saint? -It comes with iron sights so I could of course start there and get to know the rifle "as is" first I suppose.....
