Haha, yeah... if I had the courage to put one on... not sure how difficult that would be though...

The body lift is pretty simple to do even for a beginner. Its only a huuuge pain if you don't have the necessary tools and if your truck has rust.
When it comes to tools, A VICE is important, so is a BFH in order to get the bolts out of their metal sleeves (which you need to fit on the new bolts that come with the body lift). Power tools aren't necessary, but they save alot of work time and so does a Hydraulic jack as it lets you move easily under the truck!
Took me and my friend 9 work hours to get it done on his truck, but we had no tools/experience (esp no vice and BFH) and the bolts were extremely rusted (we had to heat and press one of the bolts out), I'd say if you have the tools and no rust 4/5 hours is reasonable and besides that its extremely straight forward, just repetitive!

Took me forever and it took a torch to finally break the bolts loose, along with a bolt remover set, a 8lbs sledge, and a vice. Totally worth it.

Yeah, thanks guys... As of now the steps are off... Gotta do some cutting/drilling this Spring/Summer to make the step brackets clear my brake line... I'd figured out the body rubbing problem soo no need to lift the body, Now I've just gotta modify the brackets soo they don't ruin my brake line... But thank you guys for the suggestions.

Well got a small update on Razorback...

FINALLY got my Bilstein shocks installed. (My Pro-Comps were pretty much toast... SOO MUCH OIL, had to get em' cut out thanks to all the rust) Still rides stiff, but feel much more confident and stays going straight on the road now...)

Took advantage of a 40 degree, semi-dry day and got my Purple Cranium Diff Guard on. FINALLY have some armor for Razorback! Also a shot of the rear Bilsteins and rusty year old dual exhaust... (Also have fronts shocks on, just not pictured)

Hey Cyou, thanks... yeah, a couple of thousand dollars, year + some change and inspiration from you guys has turned my rig into something different from every other H3 in my area. :giggle: I'd like to say that I'm done but everyone knows that ain't true... Got plans on getting some 315/75/16 Fierce Attitude MT's or Duratracs and moving the soon to not match spare inside the cargo area. (Just to change things up a bit) Then I should be done... (Fingers crossed).

Two things about this post

1. Go with Fierce attitude MT's
2. "Then I should be done..." You won't be haha! Rig is turning out great!

Haha, yeah a Hummer owners work is never done. Yeah I'm leaning towards the MT's, I like my Grabber AT2's but I just want something a bit more aggressive that stands out in a crowd more (Also MTs always seem to look bigger), also traction with the AT2s can be a bit iffy in slush... (I know that the Duratracs and Fierce MT's are like sister/cousin tires to each other (Think Dunlop or something makes em' for Goodyear under a different name) so quality should be fairly similar.) I just wasn't sure what the ride quality on the road was like with em' because right now with the AT2s and Bilstein shocks it's very rough, even after lowering the PSI to 30, lowest I'll go on the road, it didn't improve...) Everybody loves and swears by the Duratracs... But know in me, I'll go for looks as well as offroad ability. :giggle: (Duratracs look good, just don't seem to be as aggressive as I'm wanting.)

Sidewalls on the duratracs are known to be bad, i've heard nothing bad about the fierce att MT's. I'm running 25/26 psi on the road right now. Look at the goodyear mt/r with kevlar too. They've been outstanding so far.

Yeah, I am not a huge fan of the Duratrac sidewall to begin with... I just figured that they were a go to tire because everyone and their grandma around my area has em'... But I have decided to just go for the Fierce Attitude MTs... (Maybe, change my mind more than I change my underwear sometimes...) Haven't seen anyone around my neck of the woods running those tires... Always want to have something different than everyone else. (Just like my wheels, until recently... seen a lowered 2000 Dodge Dakota has em' in 20's and an F-150 with 22"! )

Well, decided to put the tires on hold for a while, probably get them closer to my birthday in April... But here's a teaser of what I did order today... :shifty:

Thanks, yeah I liked em' when I saw em' (Haven't been on DTD for very long) and couldn't find them mounted on anything when I searched google images soo guess I'll get to be the pioneer, haha. The specs that I know are 16x8.5 (Should still fit my Grabbers) with a 4.5 backspacing (I think) and +18 offset..., got em' from Discount Tire Direct, but there isn't a ton of info on em'...

Haha, yeah thanks... I probably won't go for the lift, unless the price dropped by ALOT... I'm happy with the size, (Fits my needs, even if I don't act like it does) plus I can never save that much money anyways because I'm always spending it on small things for my 3... :giggle:
