H3 towing with the Alpha

So I decided to go camping with my parents in September but I'm wanting to rent my own travel trailer. I see a max towing of 6k lbs on the alpha but I'm absolutely looking to stay far away from that.

I've seen a few travel trailers, weighing in at 3k to 4klbs. Are these options something that shouldn't be an issue? Do I need to get a brake controller? I have only towed with my giant truck so I don't have any real world experience with the Alpha. I've seen OLD threads with 'what do you tow' but things change after many years. I'm on 35s and leveled.....I got extended shackles I still need to install though, don't want the rear sagging that much! Thanks everyone.

Speaking from personal experience, I pull a 5'X8' landscaping trailer year around. It is loaded down with a ZTR, Walk behind, 2 commercial trimmers, commercial blower, gas, string, yard implements and edger head. I'm running pretty balanced and heavy. Guessing 3kLbs. daily.
The overall H3 handles this load daily without any misgivings. I do not pull it through hills and valleys though. Nor do I pull it at interstate speeds all day and night.
It's just not substantial enough for that kind of towing.
Ive replaced the rad, water pump, clutch fan assembly(Hayden HvyDuty), t-stat, battery and most of the accessories items. For tires I run a 265/75/16E. I keep them aired to 44-52lbs. depending on conditions. I've replaced all the fluids and front drive shaft has been rebuilt with quality parts and Lucas Xtrem grease products.
For front hubs I run Moog. I made an adapter that allows me to pump Lucas grease into the ABS / wheel speed sensor port, so as to be able to keep salt water at bay in the dead of winter plowing. Lol! I've done a lot of extra stuff but to much to list it all.
The Alpha has better power then I5 but is still essentially the same vehicle overall.
just my 2cents.

Just one other item... I've replaced every brake item with aftermarket hvy duty composite ceramic binders and stainless hardware. Got to be able to stop NO matter what. I also do not run electronic brake but use the back pressure, compression from engine to help on hills.

I also put a stack/plate BM 14.4K btu with extra capacity fluid cooler in for the trans.
