Seat upholstery

I have reupholstered 2 H3Ts and my 06 GMC 2500. I used Leatherseats.com. I have been impressed. Added ventilated seats to last two and had the seats done in about stock color and piping on one. I upgraded to their Premium Leather Trimmed Kit in each case (plastic backing on front seats made that a no-brainer). I opted for perforated in each option- the Blue T away at college has the blue perforation option and blue piping.

I have the Katskin stuff in my wife's Yukon. It has not held up well at all. Seats are cracked clear through on back seats across perforation and completely worn through the drivers seat (wife is 5-6 and in lower 100s). I don't mind changing upholstery on a used vehicle I am modifying. Not fun to have to replace upholstery on a fairly new vehicle (90k miles, 6 years old) that was never offroad and limited abuse.

Maybe other experiences on here. I know AZ temps ruin most things prematurely.

At any rate, thinking of red and white seats in the next T with charcoal piping. We will see. I have gone through 7 trucks for work in last few years. Lots of good things out there and neat stuff, but I can't get enough of the H3T and what may have been the end of the glory days of less computer and minimalist design. It has made being happy with the new vehicles a tad difficult- I know, it is likely me.

Will work on getting some photos onto the computer and upload some interiors.

Wow! You have had more vehicles in the last few then I've bought in 20yrs. Lol!
Oem (GM) leather, from my experience, seems to hold up well. Just did a total swap of interior and purchased several used salvage pieces.
The rear uppers, I'm guessing they were a quality aftermarket, that held up extremely well. There from an 06 H3 and were really fairly decent.
The bottom rears were oem (07 H3) all the way. You can tell po was not kind to them but they still (after lots of work) look pretty decent.
The fronts were special ordered on ebay from Auto Seat Replacement. God, lol they sewed stuff wrong and told me just to cut it off. Lots of work to fix but in the end look decent. Don't know about quality or longevity.
Originally had ebony, Pewter cloth by far the longest in durability mho.
Read lots of reviews on Lseats but they got beat up pretty bad in them.
So, if I read this review leatherseats.com months ago maybe I would have gone a different route.
