Heard from my brother yesterday who lives on Long Island, they are well but still w/out power. Good thing he's well prepared (x-Marine) said the looting has begun

Heard Supersapper gathered up much needed supplies and headed up to Jersey to check on Ron46 - stay safe!

To get our generator supply back upto 40 gallons because the power company is dropping the ball bigtime.all and all we had a downed tree, some siding fly off, some broken fence and our kids new swingset which weighs about 500lbs lifted up and actually flew about 4' back into a tree but overall we are very luck and i am truly grateful for that. I will keep u all updated and let u know how my 2000/4000 inverter works tomorrowGood night phone dying and no way to charge until tomorrow

Just got our power back yesterday afternoon and got 5" of snow right after. Its been flickering but staying on thankfully.Bigunit, I really appreciate you contact me to make sure ny family and I are ok. I will never forget that along with what u did for my family.It's really bad here people are homeless or freezing in their flooded or damaged homes. Last tally about a hour ago was 300,000 still powerless some like myself for over 10 days. Well now 11 days for them. Deb and I went through all the baby clothes and necessities along with our own clothes and just donated 3 Hummer H3 loads to the local fire dept which will start distributing them immediately to local residents in need to try to help them get warm and on their feet so to say.I just heard possibly ANOTHER storm maybe next week.

Wow.... It is totally surreal to see the destruction... Seeing boats tossed around like little toys is just mind boggling.

Things are getting back to normal kinda. Certain parts mostly coastal are destroyed but others like me cleaned up and made repairs necessary. You still see siding missing and tarps on roofs but most trees were cut down and lay curbside.my friends mom lost here house and her new car. Flooded up un the 2nf story. It's gutted already and slowly coming back together piece by piece. Her car was 7 months old and floated away. They found it 3 blocks away destroyed. She's in great spirits and just grateful to be alive
