Rigid Industries VS. Vision X?

Ok, I keep hearing that Rigid is better than Vision X and vise versa. So does anyone have any real comparison photo's of the same length and distance / brightness? What about durability differences?

They seem to be similar, both made in the USA, both with life time warranty I think, depending on model they can operate underwater.

I was leaning towards getting the Dually D2 diffuse wide from Rigid, I'm looking for a nice wide spot in a small package that doesn't blow out the view in front with a hot bright spot in the middle.

I don't want to get one big monster bar, but get a pair of small units at first and add on over time.

I think I'll order the Rigid D2's next week and whatever the equivalent is from Vision X and test them out in Pismo beach on a night run. The loser will become aux backup lights

I have a new light bar design for the H1 I'm working on, so I'll probably mount these to the brush guard along with my light force strikers...

Thats a big advantage for Rigid then. Anybody have any side by side comparison?

The more I look into it, the easier it is to get information on the Rigid series, made in Arizona, they have a better website layout, and easier to get information across their product range with more certifications..

I could do the old computer technical support test.. call both companies tech support lines and see how quick it is to get a human operator.. before buying their product. [I've done this in Best Buy and Fry Electronics stores to narrow down a purchase]

I've heard that the diffused lights are much softer than the regular lights and that people have mixed feelings on them. They would be good for rear or side lights but probably not good for front.

I have the D2s in flood pattern and they are great. No hospital like traditional incandescent bulbs

I should have made a poll to what people think are the better Product. Personally myself I like the Rigid lights because they look cool and seem very durable.

I think I'm going to go with Rigid.

Sam Massa's word isn't enough for me to consider his endorsement on anything.

Rigid all the way! I had the opportunity to sell Vision X. They leak! I won;t sell them. Sold a couple pair when I was with GOBI. They did not stand behind their lights. (back in 2008). in seeing pleanty of posts on the 4X boards, it is proof they are hit/ miss on their quality.

Rigid has the better product. They are built in the US in AZ. Yes, parts are sourced from all over the world. Craftsmanship is top notch!!! I even had one customer ask to have a replacement lense brought in after 2 years of abuse. Rigid brought the lights in, replaced the lense, and shipped back re-sealed. great customer service.

If you are going to spend the money on LED light bars. Go with the Rigid. The Difused versions are not that bright in comparison to their other patterns. The difused are designed to light up close to the truck and do a good job of that. However, distance for backup or long range is not there.

There was a H3T on the old site that had several of the VisionX xmitter bars & I remember him having moisture issues with at least 1 of them. What sold me on the Rigids were their torture test videos, you don't see anything like that for the others.

Yup, they shoot it with several different calibers, beat it with a 2x4, dunk it, drag it around behind a Jeep ect.

Let me spoil this party

Anzo is very inexpensive option I had 4 of them for about a year now and I am very happy with 10" double bar.
Never had any moisture issues or anything else.

Tim has more experience with this than anyone else I know. I will go with his recommendation when I buy.
