Off road light question

For all of you electrical gurus.....So only 1 out of the 6 off-road lights i have is working. I check all bulbs, they are fine. They are wired up in groups of two. I am fairly certain that in the grouping of the one that does work, that the connection is just corroded and just needs to be cleaned up. All fuses in this harness are fine.

Problem 1.) For the harness that connects the two lights on the BA bumper, both of the lights work, only when hooked up to one side of the harness, when i plug them into the other half, the fuse blows. I am thinking that there is a short in the wiring somewhere for that harness? Thoughts?

Problem 2. ) the two lights on the harness connected on the passenger side of the H3, using a voltage tester, i determined that there is no electricity running up to the lights at all. I am not sure where to start looking in this harness for the culprit, All fuses are fine. Thoughts?

I should add that when i had these wired, there is only one heavy duty wire with power that is coming through the firewall, so as to limit the amount of punctures made and chances of water getting through.

I realize that this isnt hummer specific wiring but i figured someone could give me a direction to go, instead of my messing with it for hours on end with no success. Thanks!!

That makes me curious. There is no need for any large gauge wire to be running into the vehicle. Wire correctly, you would have three switches (3 groups of 2 lights) inside for light control, and those switches would either be ground side or very low voltage to trigger three relays in the engine compartment and off those three relays would be the high voltage (large gauge) wires to the three different light groups.

Really hard to diagnose not knowing how the lights are wired. As benlaud asked, are you using any relays? And as I noted, I'm curious as to how one large gauge wire coming from the passenger compartment to the engine compartment is used to control three different groups of two lights.

Its connected to 1 switch, then spliced to swtich #2 and then switch #3. its hard to explain seeing as my knowledge is limited and i did not do the wiring myself

Edit. yes three switches inside

If they were working then check all of the connections to ensure they aren't corroded and ensure all ground wires are still good to go. If that's all good, your relays could be busted but it's probably a bad ground or power wire, especially if you are using one low gauge wire for all lights and branching out

Also have someone flip the switches and touch the relay to make sure you can hear the "pop" and feel it close the circuit. If not the relays may be bad. I've seen some cheaper relays corrode to hell inside.
