back from Badlans, I checked my tires.. they got big nails in them.

I haven't pulled out those nails yet.

My tires are 35" MT/Rs low miles on them.

Can they get repaired perfectly?

Dunno what is the best way to handle this problem.

I think, probably my tires got nails when I was lost on the way to Badlands. I pulled my H3 over to an unknown area so that I could set the Navigation.

I would just find a good tire shop and have em patch it...I cant imagine them charging over 30 bucks.

Most tire shops will only repair if the hole is in the center 80% (approx) of the tread.

For the future I would recommend getting a patch kit from Expedition Hardware and you could do this on your own

Personally, I just run the plug strips. If I'm worried about it, I take it to be patched from the inside. Never had an issue.

Honestly I had a huge nail in mine on the side of the tread just a bit farther than any place would fix it. I plugged it and haven't had a problem since, even wheeled the other day and put it through some real sh!t and had no problems. Been months since I plugged it and it holds great.

My advice plug it if you can get away with it!

I agree.

Patching within one inch of the sidewall can be ok, but if not, you could find out when doing 75 on the interstate and if it is a front tire; you could kiss the Hummer good buy. (As well as yourself.) It's a tire, get a patch plug from the inside or a new tire. Not worth risking your life over.

I would get it plugged from inside. They can patch it from the inside and the tire will hold up like it never happened.

Yea!
IMHO I would avoid the tire Goo what ever ya do! Lol!
I put some in one of my tires last year and what a F$#kin mess... Ugh!
Get it patched locally from the inside out. We've got several low buck mex/american places here and they do it for super cheap.

Big expensive tires always seem to collect all kinds of crap, nails, screws, and in one case for me, the entire handle from one half of a pair of pliers. I always get the hazzard warranty, it always seems to pay for itself and with most of the hazzard warranties i've had, if they can't patch it safely, they will replace the tire.

I bought my 06 H3 Lux used in 08 with 5K miles on it and within a week I ran a screw in it. Plug was still good when I totaled it at 15K. About a month after I got the 08 H3 Lux I had an encounter with a drywall screw. Plug was still good when I traded it at 25K. When I bought my 10 Alpha/Offroad I told a freind of mine I was going to run a screw in it just to get it out of the way. So far at 32K no screws....yet.
