Just got back from Hawaii today and found my letter, I was denied on the grounds of insufficient GC statement. I cannot appeal, I would need to do that within 10 days in writing, and I was on vacation. I can try again in one year, or say screw it and move to Arizona!

Wondering what insufficient GC statement means? I'm looking to apply for my CCW for California in Riverside
county. I want to make sure I have all my Ducks in a row. Sad to hear about the denial letter. I thought Kern was one of the easier counties. Oh I know someone who can get you qualified for a Utah permit with no cost, but he's in Laguna Woods.

Got my Texas CCW last week. I don't think anywhere in CA is easy, some places just might grant you a CCW while most won't. Kern county probably is one of the easier places in this screwed up place.

My GC statement simply did not fall within the guidelines for issue. I was confident in my statement, but know I know. If you read the CalGuns forum there are folks there who can critique your GC and give you tips. I did that; but even with feedback there was something they did not like :-(

South Dakota it's $10 and 5 days or less to get the permit. Good for 5 years
