yeah, i do like those things. I'll miss them. I'm just tired of the heat and the lack of mountains. I also like how western states have public land.

I live in Central Texas. Terrain, temperature and humidity aren't what make Texas Texas. The people, their attitudes about life, self-reliance, independence, small government, etc are what make Texas great. California I beautiful, it is all the liberal people in CA that ruin it.

what most people don't get is that the liberals are mostly in Seattle, the rest of the state is every bit as conservative as Texas. Oregon, California both - once you get out of the major population centers... very conservative...

I know Orange County used to be pretty conservative in CA but it is turning. Kern county and a few of the agricultural eastern counties are conservative but the liberals in the big cities in CA out vote them considerably. Not that different in Texas. The liberal bastions are in parts of Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and pretty much all of Austin. The rest of the state is as conservative as you could want. May be one reason why Oklahoma is most red state we have. Biggest towns are Ok City and Tulsa.

it's hilarious how paranoid people are of Austin. they'd put a giant wall around it if they could, it's hilarious. It is a ridiculously liberal, weird, weird place. do a fast google search for leslie cochran and you'll see what I mean.

My wife wanted to move to Austin recently and I have a friend/homebuilder buddy that lives near Lago Vista and I was curious about the political pulse in Austin. Seems a little too progressive and liberal for my taste.

^^^^ is why I really enjoy driving my H3 in Seattle. They're even more conflicted because I have SAR id on my vehicle... they want to be mad, but they know that I'm one of those who rescue their unshaven, unwashed tails when they get lost while out hugging trees...

I want to put a duramax in an H2 and put a bio-diesel sticker on it for a similar effect. willie nelson lives out in wimberly, which is some little art town outside of austin and all the libs love him because he runs his truck on vegetable oil.

I've thought about it before. I'm really passionate about biotech and I'm good at it, but it just doesn't pay as well as I would like and all the biotech hubs are places that I don't really want to live. I'd rather live in Seattle than here, but I really want to live around the rocky mountains. The company I work for would pay for me to get a 2nd BS in petroleum engineering which pays REALLY well, and since colorado is one of the big oil states I could live on the west side of denver and make good money and live close to the mountains (and closer to moab, which is awesome).

If I ever get to be an oil millionaire the first thing I'm going to do is build and awesome house on the side of a mountains and get snowed in 9 months out of the year. i don't know why, but that just sounds awesome to me.

The last part of being stranded for 9 months might be difficult to achieve since you own a Hummer.

Oh don't I know it! Try dealing with it 365 days 24/7. I have all of the same on mine; CRPA, NRA Benefactor, Gadsman flag, and Oath Keepers defender of the Constitution, and now I've been living in liberal Long Beach at an apartment owned by my brother-in-Law until I can get over to Utah and start building on the 40 acres I bought.

Yea, I can't wait to go hunting on mine as well. I've heard that the area has Mule Deer, Elk, Sage Grouse and even some Moose. Hope to put a shooting range area on it as well. It has several Springs on it, maybe I can fish the bigger ones.
