Tip 1) Learn how to use your mirrors (empty parking lots work well).
Tip 2) Now that you know how to use your mirrors, back into parking spaces so you can just pull out forward.
Tip 3) If the above tips don't work, maintain a good relationship with God so he can guide you out of spots.

But seriously (not that my other tips weren't serious) buy those little blind spot mirrors and stick 'em to your mirrors ($10 or less at any auto parts store). Night and day difference for visibility.

Pay attention, and use your mirrors.

Seriously, the H3 has some blind spots, but nothing too horrible, IMO. Of course, I also drive a 32' class A motorhome (with no back window), so...:shifty:

All jokes aside it can be quite difficult at times backing up this brick of a vehicle. Lol
It really gets tuff at late night with snow or torrential rain. I've learned to be very careful. I mean very careful. I go super slow and try real hard to pain close attention.

My first thought in choosing a parking spot is always "Where am I most likely not to get dinged - this isn't an Avalanche." That's usually enough for me to seek wide open country and impunity from being too close to one side or another.

After eight years of backing this thing into 'where ever I want', and eight more before with Avalanches, it's not unusual when I'm in a rush to jump out of the truck and have people complement me on a flawless high-speed rush-hour parallel parking shot into an impossible space between two expensive paint jobs in downtown Canada.

And then I swapped the stock LT285's for 35x12.5's...plus an inch and a half out..."for stance"

It's taken a month and a half just to relearn landing between two yellow lines backing into a empty parking lot. Maybe I'm memorized by being able to see the tire go round in the mirror, but simple angles in the side mirrors are still playing with me!. Swear it's keeping me young!

I put some 6" flush mount lights into the rear bumper trims for night time or adverse weather. Besides me being able to see, even the boneheads who like to stand behind your truck and gab realize it's time to relocate.

I have those spot mirrors on everything. A back up camera, they’re cheap and easy. The small back window and spare tire do cut down on visibility, but crushing metal or screaming is always a go indication you’ve gone too far.

Lets see that back bumper...
