Today I improved the packaging of my jack and bolted a wheel to it. Seems simple enough, but finding a weld on jack with a wheel proved to be impossible.
Next was another simple thing... Just spend $$$.
Waiting on treadplate steel for the floor and the side panels to be cut. Then I'm getting close to finished with the first stage.
Is there any reason in the world to mount the jack the other way with it close to the coupler? I like the packaging better this way, but need a reason to change it.
Thanks. The corner gussets were a challenge. I wanted them heavy duty. So they're out of 12 gauge. I cut them with the plasma, scored them and hammer bent that edge. I had to beat them silly to get a 90* lip and keep them all identical.
I've got my custom F-117 style fenders saved on CAD. These are 14ga. steel and I had mine powder-coated but, I can leave them raw if you want to do further welding or drilling to them. They easily clear 35" tires. They attach to any flat bed-side surface via some 3/8" bolts...
I remember trying to find some fenders a couple years ago when working on my trailer. I found dozens of styles but, none of them were exactly what I was looking for....so I designed and fabbed my own. If any of you H4O'rs need some for your trailer projects...drop me a PM.
Wow. Not much tire clearance...can that take a rick of firewood without rubbing? What happens if you want to run 35"s? Just sayin...(now is the time to make an adjustment).
