It is legal to carry in California in the National Forests (where the Rubicon is located).

What about the 5-600 miles I have to drive in Cali to get there, where it has to be "unloaded and locked in a case"? :gay

Come in through Nevada - another open carry state, and it's much faster, plus you'll be in National Forest from the CA/NV border until you get about 30 miles from my place. Only one check point in Truckee - and all they are looking for is Fruits :giggle:
