I received several voice mails and a few texts allegedly from Verizon. They were saying my account was in a special status. Huh? Didn't respond or call the numbers they told me to call. The numbers didn't jive with what i have or on the site. Just got a chance to call from my phone to customer care. And it is a huge scam. Guy said he has had a ton of calls today. Just don't want to see anyone get hooked by it.

Pretty much Mikkel. Struck me odd since my account is in good standing. Originally I thought they were just trying to get me to upgrade. But the website was off and checked the numbers they told me to call. Brings back old memories of eBay.

So far I have missed this one. Verizon has been pretty diligent in letting me know how much of my plan I have used lately though.

They can hack your info in the SIM card via a text and you don't even need to reply. That's one reason why I keep no banking info on my phone and I use a SMS blocker...(it might help)
