valve seat issues

well after 123,000 miles on my 2006 H3, which i bought new, i have the valve seat issue, #5 cylinder, exhaust valve...getting it repaired, this truck is still in great shape....this is the first time it's ever gone to the shop, i've done all other repairs myself....

Are the valve & seat not sealing well (burnt valve)? Or did the seat come out? Burnt valves are pretty common on Atlas engines. Usually the center cylinders. Mine has low compression in one cylinder (196k mi) which I'm pretty sure is a valve issues (plan to redo this spring). Glad you're getting it fixed. Hopefully it'll be good for another 123k
