Transmission temps with xgauge issue.

Trying to get my scangaugeII to read TFT (trans fluid temp) but i'm having trouble with it. The only reading i can seem to get is 32. Display says 32 and doesn't change. I don't know if it's a problem with the scangauge or if the computer is actually thinking the temp is 32 degrees.
I was trying to get AFR (air/fuel ratio) as well but it wont do anything at all. My scangauge is running latest software so i know that's not the issue. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Not all scan gauges have same software, some are better that others. You trying to pull life data, it may not be designed for that.

I really like my Ultragauge, I have it reading trans temps no problem, plus I can have up to 8 "gauges" on the screen at a time, and it can scroll through 8 screens of gauges. You can even set how long it sits on each screen individually, and have the same gauge or gauges on each screen if you always want to see that reading, like the trans temp or voltage or something. Plus it's a lot cheaper than a Scangauge.

Wow I've heard of scangauge but that's the first time I've heard if ultragauge. I wish I had known about this before I bought mine.

I installed an UltraGauge MX 1.3 on my ‘09 H3T Alpha today and love it. I got it primarily so that I can monitor transmission fluid temperature, but I have loaded a number of other pages of useful gauges too. The TFT TDATA code already programmed in the gauge as MGAUGE 8 (07E02219400100) was displaying 32-degrees, so I changed it to 07E222194001, which I got from the UltraGauge Supplement Instructions, and it reads accurately now.
i wanted to post this somewhere where it might help another and save them a lot time in internet research.
This TFT monitoring need is in response to having my transmission burn up this past year as a result of trailer towing (and age, I suppose).
I now have a sizable investment to protect in a high performance HD transmission, bullet proof torque converter, transmission fluid cooler, and custom programming.

Cool, I swear I added this info on here as well back when I setup mine, might be buried now though since it's been a few years.

I got the tft figured out. the afr shows 14.6 at all times though. No biggie, im happy I got the trans temp working right finally.

"For gasoline engines, the stoichiometric, A/F ratio is 14.7:1, which means 14.7 parts of air to one part of fuel." Looks like you're rig is running good then :)

Damn! Wish I would've found this thread or checked it out in person awhile back. Bought my ScanGuageII a few months back which is okay but would like 8 readings on one screen.

hello. i have used obd2 adapter on my h3 v8 5.3l. when i installed it i have noticed that temperature was about 120 deg Celsius when i was on off-road. It was very high. i have decided to install front oil radiator from thru cool. with bypass unit for 85 deg. after doing that temperure stays stable. 85-90 deg celsius.
