My goal for taxes this year is to wait as long as possible and send a check for as little as we can work out. Last year we paid around $6,500.
IMHO, the current tax system is broke. No offense to anyone getting back more than they paid, it's how the gov't has it setup right now, but that is just plain stupid. That's not a tax refund, it's simply wealth re-distribution. Thanks to all the changes in recent years my net pay keeps going down (even when I get a raise), and what I owe keeps going up. I claim married/0 and my wife claims single/0. If we get whacked again I'll have to change mine to single/0.
