Interesting build but I'm guessing they couldn't get it to work the way they wanted: "Due to the extreme power, there are no air bags and of course ABS and traction control have been disabled." I'm guessing it also may have been a salvage vehicle at one point as it got a new VIN at some point. Notice there's no photos of this supercharged engine either.

Damn....such a low price. Lol

I understand why the traction control and abs is gone but why don't the airbags work?

I wonder if you pull the airbag fuse and abs traction control fuse the lights will go away...my buddy said that works on the grand Cherokees.

I've always wanted to put an atlas TC in the H3 but Im not sure if its doable without having the dash light up and I hate dash lights.

I kind of like the wheels. Not sure why there is a front and rear transfer case?? You would think there would be a pic of this amazing engine conversion, and of the new drivetrain. :shifty:

Hmmm. Interesting. I'm pretty sure this is the same H3 I saw on eBay last year...looks like the same twin-stick console mod. Just like 07custom's solid axle rig...it probably just needs somebody to un-screw the screwed-up stuff. I don't see the reason for disabling the airbags. I also don't understand why the ABS is disabled. Both of these should work fine. The TCS is another story. Its obviously not going to work without the stock T-case but, that shouldn't effect the ABS or the airbags.

Seems like you should be able to un-plug the stock T-case, and put some jumper wires (possibly with a diode or resistor) onto the open T-case plug. The idea would be to "fake" the puter into thinking everything is always good...all the time. Then push the stock "4HI-street" button and leave it be. From that point on, you would control the t-case via the levers. The only issue might be in low range, when the puter tries to disable all the stock electronic goodies and re-calibrates the speedo...that would not work. But does anybody really look at the speedo in low range? (I don't).

Now that I think about it...TCS would activate if you were in 2WD and spinning the rear tires (at a different speed from the front ones). So maybe thats why the ABS was disabled. Who knows. Anyway...looks like a nice truck and I would love to have it myself. It would work good with some CUCV 8-lug axles! I'm not crazy about a super-charged motor but, its already in there...so why not!

That's why I haven't done it yet - I couldn't keep in street legal in CA. When I go full Green sticker it will have a V-8 and an Atlas :)

bebe, how do the JKs run hemi's and stay legal? I thought there has to be a visual inspection and a few rules on the motor being newer with certain mileage? I gotta look it up online and post it up here.

Because they have to be from the same manufacturer (Chrysler) and the same model year or newer and keep all factory emissions. I think the JK is going to come with a Hemi option next model year. It has to be inspected and certified by a referee at the Bureau of Automotive Repair.

I can put in a 6.0 or 6.2 GM power plant, but I can't use a diesel.
