Stuff the Hummers toy drive 2012

Cotilo and Bigunit put together another awesome toy drive yesterday to benefit the Salvation Army in Tucson. We had very un-Arizona weather of rain and cold but that didn't dampen the spirits or the giving of the Hummer owners and other participants in the event. While we're still waiting on an official count from the Salvation Army it appears that we certainly passed last year's totals of 10,000 toys and 160 bikes.

We had an escort for several miles across Tucson with the assistance of Tucson PD and SWAT. They had their hands full with the heavy traffic as our route went by some major shopping centers.

The silent auction including UofA Baseball National Championship signed baseball; Ed Hochuli signed game jersey and SI cover, with a letter of authenticity and countless other prizes.

The awards that Preferred Chassis Fabrication donated to the event. These award were highly sought after as they are unlike any award that winners normally receive at car shows and events.

The winner of the "Santa Award". This gentleman and his skate park donated thousands of dollars worth of toys; double-checked the assembly of all of the bikes and transported many of them in his trailer.

We couldn't do it without all your help and support including your amazing donation of 500 servings of Cold Stone Creamery ice cream that seemed to have put a big smile on all the kids and partaking adults - including me- even though it was cold and wet outside.
