I want to nominate http://teamupfortucson.com/ ("TUFT") for today's site of the day for a few reasons:

1) TUFT's logos incorporate an HMMWV/H1 - one of the only non-HUMMER sites on the internet that has a HUMMER in its original artwork/logos (one different logo for each of their 3 charitable missions)! Very cool!

2) They help children in need, animals & vets in need (through Mutts 4 the Military) & communities in need devastated by natural distasters in the US (they shipped out over 1,000 meals to FEMA that were distributed to families displaced by the recent brush fires in Colorado).

3) It is an IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit charitable organization with 100% all-volunteer (no paid) staff.

4) Several forum members have participated and helped out in the annual "Stuff the Hummers" Christmas Toy Drive. My hat is off to all of you!

5) The founder of this organization is my wife and H4O member, Cotilo, and I'm very proud of what she and Team Up For Tucson have accomplished in so little time.

I know, this is a shameless plug - but isn't that what "Site of the Day" is all about? :)

Plus a free dog for each visitor (as long as you pay the adoption fee and promise them a good home :))

Michele should be looking for a Sheltie type dog for me. Collie-ish, no more than 20 lbs. Though that might upset Lola, Coco and Tinkers . . .

Luis, does Michelle have a Facebook page for this? I could throw one together for you all no problem. You might could reach a whole new audience via Facebook... PM me if you're interested. I can set you and/or Michelle as admins for it as well.

Yes, Tinkers is a dog - a rescued Australian Koolie. Koolie's are know as the triathletes of the dog world. It's very true - Tinkers jumps in our pool at all times of the day, whether we are in it or not, and swims laps on her own! The name Tinkers was inspired by the greatest double-play combination in baseball - "Tinker, Evers to Chance"!
