I think there is only one H3T on here that has the Daystar lift, but it is coupled with a Rancho lift. I don't believe there is a thread regarding the former, but it is a fairly straight forward body lift.

I was looking for specifically what size tires those are. 37 Super Swampers, but what width? Are those factory H3t wheels?

Is there a thread on the Daystars H3T that talks about the mods that are done to it? I figure it has been discussed at length but I can't seem to find anything.
No build thread, was a company vehicle for Daystar

Is it just me or do most slantbacks look like they are installed an inch or so too far back? I'm sure they are installed correctly but they look like they should be just a touch forward.

Mine was originally installed 1/2" to 3/4" too far back. I could insert my fingers between the tail gate and the lid. The headliner material would ge wet at the car wash and it leaked dust on dirt roads and trails. I had the installers shift it forward and now it seals much better.

Here is a before picture.

Man, I forgot how much difference shifting the Slantback forward make!

Do you have pics from the back side? I'm guessing the 1/2" to 3/4" gap at the tailgate is what I'm seeing on a lot of them that looks off to me.

OK. Well, from my reading, these rigs are available with the Z285 packsge, which is the official name of the non-Adventure package, then you have the Adventure package. The paperwork says it has the Z285 package, which is the non-Adventure package, but it seems to have all of the visible Adventure package options. I guess that is what's confusing me.
Its an Alpha. Adventure packages were only avaliable on the I5's. They were Off Road packages on the Alpha. Based on the pics you posted, its an Alpha Off Road. V8, 4:10 gears, 4:1 t-case, 33" AT's, rear locker (and front because its an 09+), etc

Anyone have a source for Slantbacks in the SC, GA, NC area? Maybe even northern FL or southern TN? I know of Teakatoys in Wilmington, NC but I don't think that is going to work out for me. I would like someone that I can drive to and pick-up to save the shipping, maybe even let them install it while I'm there as that is suppose to be included in the price.

Here are the best I could find, but it is hard to see.

Go to the Snugtop dealer locator and enter your zip code :link:

Portager - How are you liking those SST's now that you have had them on a while? Still fairly quiet on pavement?

I like them a lot. They are still quieter than the KM2's that I had before and I think traction is equivalent.

Their dealer locator has never worked. I can put in the zip code for a known dealer (Teakatoys for example) and it will still point you to their regional distributor on the other side of the country.....junk. I was hoping someone had first-hand knowledge of a dealer close to me.

I don't know for sure but former hummer dealers were able to sell the slantbacks. Independence Motors out of Charlotte may distribute. Either call snugtop direct or try Independence.

It worked in my area. They have a toll free phone number.

I talked to Independance today. They talked to Snugtop then called me back and said Snugtop is no longer offering dealer pricing on this top. Independance would have to buy it at the same price I could. Independance told me to order it direct from Snugtop and it would work out cheaper, as Independance would have to charge me standard dealer mark-up % to go through them.

Sounds odd.

Does the front of the slantback have a window in it? I mean, if you needed to be able to see through the rear view, to back a trailer for instance, could you open the lid and see through it?

Yes. There is a window in the front of it so that you could see out the back if the lid was opened up.
