Next month, I'm relocating to Lebanon & the 3 is coming with me... Was looking for advice on a good security system that works without issues.

What are your thoughts?

(Not sure if relevant, but we don't have the daystar system in our hummers here in the ME)

I think it's a Prestege . It's on the 13 2500 work truck,( company work truck). Very few false alarms, all the normal stuff, broken glass, remote start, dead bolt option. All of the doors are pinned with 1/2" rod vea solinoids when armed. 1/2" holes would have to be drilled in the doors and jams for the dead bolt option. There are also hockey puck locks on the back and side doors. The rats are big in Chicago. I can post pictures of the system when there is more day light. I don't think you need all of the options this truck has,but it's nice that you can keep adding to the same system. Let me know if you need more info.

Clifford G5 or even G4 AvantGuard model if you can find one (ebay). These are older but you can still find NOS. The G4 was designed by Clifford and the G5 had a few updates after Clifford was bought by DEI as far as how they work they are very similar and use the same sensors biggest change was the colors of the wires to be inline with other DEI brands (except the AvantGuard that uses all black wires.) If you want two way remotes and stuff like that these alarms don't have them they use true anti theft measures like fail secure relays wireless relays anti carjacking motion and proximity sensors rather than vibration sensors.

Thanks, these security measures seem more effective than vibration sensors.. I'll do a bit of research.

The most appealing option I came across was the ability to track the vehicle & shut off the engine via smartphone.

I use two 100# dogs and a P220 but I guess that won't work for you in Lebanon. I have a simple kill switch on one of my H1s that kills all electric current from the batteries. I can remove the key and take it with me.
