Twin, any cans left? I'm out in San Diego, have you thought about living in eastern San Diego County instead of El Centro?

Yep, I've got 4 of these left, they're the ones shown in the pics, not pretty, but fully functional. Two of them need new straps.
I was waiting for the first 4 I mailed to Bigunit to make it to his place, they're in Phoenix as of this morning, should be in Tucson by Monday or Tuesday. I don't want to mail 4 at a time again, what a pain in the butt to package and mail. 2 at a time much more manageable. I've still got 2 I need to mail to Zach, but as I said, I've still got 4 more after that.

As for eastern SD, I considered it, but SD is a two hour drive, how far east can you go in San Diego to make a daily trip to El Centro practical? I would love to head that direction and be closer to a larger city, especially closer to the beach. It's a ten minute drive to the beach for us now---kinda get spoiled having that kind of access even though we rarely go.

I've still got 4 of these Scepters for sale, their not pretty, but they're pretty functional! $30 a piece and the cheapest you'll find them. I need to get them sold to clear up the floor space in the garage.

Ok, I also need to pay for my newest dealer sign, pics to come after it shows up----

Thank you Twin. I got my 4 cans this past week. Love those things and they are perfect for my intended use. Can't beat the price for these cans that are not easy to find anymore. If you do, you will pay at least 2x more than what you are a selling yours for. Great job packaging them up too. The guys in the office mail room were quite impressed with your bundling, scent-killing and packaging skills. :D What else are you looking to sell, pack and ship to me?

Not anymore---don't you remember the great LE step fiasco of 2009 when I mailed you a set of LE steps with a witty anti-Prius hamster powered rant written on the box? I lost at least two hundred dollars on that deal when the Post Office "mysteriously" lost that box. That was the last time I opted not to put insurance on my boxes.
That was a dark day in HUMMER history........

BTW--your cans are boxed and ready to ship tomorrow, minus any witty sayings or rainbows, and WITH insurance

BTW---for you guys not familiar with "The Great LE Step Debacle of '09", here's a pic of the last time this box was seen by the HUMMER loving crowd--once it got into the Post Office system it vanished forever........

Those were the gold old days with rainbows and blow up dolls. [emoji41]The latter were sent to Luisa at the office

.....I really need to talk about the El Centro thing. I spent time on the internet looking at the area and housing and just got a bad feeling that I'd be moving my family to a really bad area. According to the stats I read half the town is unemployed, almost all the houses I looked at for sale were foreclosures, and the town looks like it's right in the middle of sprawling farmland--not really good views. Plus being a border town crime is going to be higher.
Not to be negative Nancy, on the plus side, San Diego is only 1-1/2 hrs away so we wouldn't lose the beach scene. Phoenix is about 3-1/2 hours away so we can be close to family, but not so close they're always on top of us. And Anza Borrego would be right out the back door! Plus there's dunes just down the road so I can get another dirtbike or sand rail.
I'm just not so confident in the location. Even though I grew up in Phoenix and it was always a good idea, I never learned Spanish, so this old dog would need to learn that new trick.

Do what is best for your family. That being said, I have spent a little time there and not a place I would raise my family, but that is me. Your situation is different. Brawley is just up the road and may be a touch better. While going to the dunes I have passed through the mountains just West of El Centro, Cleveland National Forrest. Always like that drive and nicer place to live but about an hour drive from El Centro. Just my .02

Are you still thinking of going to El Centro Twinmill28? I work in El Centro and commute from SD(right by Qualcomm). The drive is about 1hr 45mins and never any traffic.
