Roof Marker Light 'RIV NUTS' not coming out of the drilled holes

You have to drill them out or carefully grind off the head and push the body out the bottom.

I'm guessing that requires removing the 'head-liner' to get the fallen RIV body.

Most likely can be done by just taking out the visors and A pillar trim.

The front portion of the roof is boxed for strength and the rivnut heads will just fall in and stay forever. Same as with the roof rack mounts. You could possibly fish them out but I just left mine in. I tried to drill mine out but the rivnuts would just spin, I had to use a grinder and they were out in a hurry, a cutoff wheel would work if the heads are raised like yours are. Now looking a bit longer at yours, those MAY be far enough back to be accessible from the headliner.

That's true. The A-pillar trim pieces come off by prying off the plastic 'button' at the top, remove the screw behind it, firmly tug it away from the pillar so as to pop out the metal clip.

I have had success using angled needle nose vise grips to catch the lip of the riv nut. Put some painters tape down to avoid scratching the area around it.
