Ridge Demon H3T Rock Bashers - install
This writeup and the pictures in this thread originally were created by & are used with the permssion of Alrock, who helped me install the RidgeDemon Rock Bashers on my T a few months ago. Here is Alrock's install thread:
I went to Tucson yesterday to help Bigunit install the Ridge Demon Rock Bashers on his H3T. Like has been said before - these things are beefy. While one person could install the OEMs and the Rocky Roads, this is a two person job.
We followed TheBroken's suggestion and installed the passenger side first. The Rock Bashers were perfectly put together and we were able to get them installed in under 10 minutes - everything lined up and was easily accessible. We used jack stands to help with the weight while getting them positioned.
The driver's side is more challenging because of the parking brake cable. It is only an issue on the front mount and, again following TheBroken's suggestion, we cut the zip tie that holds the cable up front. It took a bit of wiggling but the left side install didn't take more than fifteen minutes.
The only challenge for installing the Ridge Demon Rock Bashers is simply the size and weight of them as they are just too much for one person to easily handle. They are strong, look great and have some really nice touches to them.
Not a lot of detail to this install since it is six bolts per side.
I can add tools required:
15 mm socket
Snips for the zip tie
2 beers each. It is not even a full beer job but who stops at 1?
Setting up
Location where zip tie was cut. We put a new zip tie in after the install
A little rattle can vanity
Nice touch!
The finished product
