Hi folks,
i was messing around with my ICOM ID-31 the other day and was thinking how nice it would be if ALL my radios could locate the nearest repeater based on GPS location. So, I did a bit of searching and found a free Android app called Repeaterbook. -It's a small light weight app with its own built in database (no need for cell signal) that shows the frequencies, PL tone, etc for nearby repeaters. Seems like a really excellent tool while traveling and / or while off-roading.
I'll try it out on the upcoming trip to Moab
Edit: Looks like RepeaterBook is also available in the iTunes app store
