Anyone know of a good aftermarket rear bumper for the H3? I've found the ARB one and kinda like it, but interested to know if there were any other kinds out there that are similar. Thanks!

Thor parts had nice ones, but he went out of busuiness. Might want to be on the look out for one.

Off hand I can think of three...Thorparts, ARB, and Tough Country. Like everyone said, CJ (Thorparts) stopped making bumpers but you might be able to find one.

Anyone have pictures of the Tough Country rear bumper for the H3? I went to their web site, but they don't seem to be listed any longer.

I though Tbone had a Thor H3T rear bumper for sale?

I went back and checked, it is a front Thor bumper he still has for sale. Thanks for the links to tough country rear bumpers.

CJ, guess there is no chance of you making a run of rear bumpers?

If he made a run of rear bumpers I'd def buy one. They look pretty sweet...

i run the tough country front and rear bumper replacements. the rear is not the best for offroading due to the fact it sticks out a little further so on the exit on a dip you may hit. but on the safety side, awesome!!! had a jetta rear end me going about 20...it totalled the jetta and i think i may have found a scratch!!

THORparts is in a medically-induced coma right now. I simply got too busy to keep up with the orders, and still maintain a daily job. But fear not...I have all of my designs saved on computer, and making more bumpers is a only an email away. My bigger concern is how to produce quality parts, sell them for a fair retail price, and still make money. Those first two items are no problem. But, that "profit thing" is killing it for me.

Clearly I'm missing some pieces to the puzzle...stuff like: national distribution, packaging, logistics, tax breaks, global marketing, direct VISA payments, fancy website...blah blah blah. I never expected THORparts to be such a big deal, and once it became a big deal...it turned into real work. It used to be "just some guy making parts for all his Hummer buddies"...but, it sort of got out of control and it was dominating my time. It was obvious that I either needed to "sh!t or get off the pot!", and given the very limited market, and the shut-down of Hummer...I chose to get off the pot. The only way I can make money with THORparts is to go overseas for production, and that's not an option.

Thor would be my #1 pick. After that, ARB for rear. Protects much better than the Tough Country one, since it wraps all the way around.

So if I don't care about a price you could make me a rear bumper still? I may be reading this wrong due to an extreme lack of sleep (damn dogs) but then again that's why I have H4O. It's a great way to forget about sleep haha!

Anywho enough ranting... Would a rear bumper be possible for the right price?

Thanks for the info fellas. BTW this is why I need a new rear bumper. Light poles and bumpers don't mix too well...
Is that all you've got? That's just a flesh wound! lol, I thought about replacing my rear bumper after the first time I mashed it coming off a ledge and caught the lip on the edge of a rock but then I hit it again. And again. Not too worried about that little scratch I see there, heck- I would use that one on mine as is!

I really like that Thor bumper, but if the bumper also incorporated the plastic fender trim right in front of it in the same guage metal as the rest of the Thor bumper then it would be PERFECT!

Jarvis, looks like the rear gate won't open - is it that bad?

I've spent five years doing custom work on my rear bumper for better clearance. Here are the results so far:

The center section is nearly 2" shorter than an factory fresh bumper :)
