PNW Trail Run Early March

Just thought I would put out a post testing out the waters for a March Trail run somewhere in Washington.

I don't care which trail as the only PNW trails I have run are some Dunes in Oregon and Tahuya, so I have lots more to explore!

Post up dates your available in early March and what trail you'd like to run and we will go with the consensus or do further trail recon if needed!

We could do Barlow Road, scenic and camping.
Barlow Road is a section of the historic Oregon wagon trail. It is one of the few remaining sections of the trail that isnt paved over. In some places, you can still see the deep depressions in the ground from the heavy wagons as they passed through the area 120 years ago. There is a lot of history in this place, and as such, care should be taken when exploring the area. "Tread Lightly"

Looks like a fun loop! With Ferry it will take me 7.5 hour to make it down there, so that will have to be taken into consideration for both arrival and departure times.

I could head out Friday after work, arrive around 12 PM
Run the trail Sat, camp the night
Drive home Sunday

Defiantly do able!

It's been on my to-do list for a while. Sounds like there are a few campgrounds along the trail, will have to figure one out to meet up at.

Is there dates that work better for anyone in particular?

The only weekend that month that would not work for me is the 21-22nd the rest is free game

After March 6, I'm available... ish, March tends to be the month of fools for Search and Rescue; so there will be a large depends on my availability... walker would be fun, though...

How about March 29th at Walker Valley?

If we do this location and this weekend then it's only an hour and a half drive for me, plus the GF could come.

March 22 the Anacortes Ferry loop re-opens to Victoria!

Naa, has nothing do do with which end, I don't mind driving North, I just don't care for Walker valley. last time I was there I walked away thinking it was a douchebag jeepers paradise. Close enough to town for every rude @sshat with deep pockets and an overgrown jeep to show up be a d!ckhead to everyone else and tear everything up. Not my idea of a fun weekend. No worries, will catch you all another time :)

I wish I could go, but parents are coming the weekend of the 28th, next weekend is a clusterf**&, and the weekend after the 28th is the Portland swap meet... how did life get so busy?
