plasti dip durability

When plasti dip became big I questioned its durability...In the beginning I only really saw show cars use them for complete paint jobs and not much offroad guys doing complete paint jobs.

Well, I will say that he did not really get any real serious brush rake. At least by NW standards! I will admit that platidip is tougher than one muight think, but I have found that it does not hold up to our NW brush. Here are a coulple pics of my grill and hood cowls after one trail run.

Turning around on a reaqlly tight trail I pushed the grill up against a bush alittle. I didn't run over the bush, just pushe up against it.

Here is one of my cowls. This is just from brush dragging across it.

I'll get some pics when it is dry. (no telling when that will be!) When dry it is very marked up with with scrapes like in his video. I will probably redo mine once the weather is nice. It's not perfect but it will do until I have the spare money to go with LineX.

I still dont use plastidip and probably never will...I used it on my brothers JK and it has held up fine but its the emblem up front. It doesnt see much action.

The brush rake was very light compared to the tight trails in CA. It looks like a mad prius owner keyed me 10000 times but figured I would post this as I havent seen any videos posting an offroad test.
