Ok I'm paranoid, so as we know our vehicles are becoming dated and I know GM stopped making parts. So what do we do when there were no parts available? I'm talking 5+ years from now this topic has probably been beaten to death but I can't seem to find a good answer anywhere and I've been curious since I've had my truck. Thanks

I buy parts when they are cheap and throw em in my storage unit. Some things can be made custom and better them OEM, like drivelines and crap like that but I have a steering rack, a t case, upper a arms lower a arms, ball joints, Every stock part I took off. I keep everything. I am not too worried though.

Aren't H3s the same as Colorado trucks? LMAO. Someone usually steps up and makes the parts. If you can still buy parts for a 67 Corvette you will be able to find parts for the H3.

You make them better.... not sure what the issue is? no car payment = really cool upgrades; check out Bebe's thread for an awesome use of a H3 (okay, not thrilled with the minus door mod; but I don't live in S. cal).

Parts should be, at a minimum, available until mid 2015 as GM is required to provide parts for vehicles under warranty or buy back or replace the vehicle. In some states the option of buying back or replacing the vehicle is at the owner's discretion. Most parts should be available for much longer than that.

When hummer went under, i recieved a letter from GM saying that they are committed to provide parts and service to the hummer brand for 10 years. That was in 09, so basically up to 2019.
