Palo Duro Canyon trails

[High Five H2]

Anyone ever run Palo Duro Canyon before? looks pretty good, and it's a lot closer than anywhere else if you're stuck in west Texas. There's a jeep jamboree there, too.

3 hour 20 min drive away from the Midland/Odessa area. I think that's about the closest off-roading there is around here.

I haven't been to Palo Duro yet, want to go one day but it's a longer drive for me. Have you been to Trees Ranch? I think that's maybe 3.5-4 hrs from you there.

I've never heard of it, but there's some event going on may 22-25. maybe all the Texas folks could meet there. it looks fun.

Tree's Ranch is awesome from the reports I've gotten. A buddy of mine used to take his buggy there all the time. It's tight and technical, so keep that in mind. There are bypasses though from what I remember him saying, but pinstriping is gonna happen. A little farther for you would be Katemcy Rocks (K2), Texas' version of MOAB, over towards Kerville.

I don't think I will be able to make it for May, at July and September are gonna be way too hot for me to do.

it says on the K2 website that it's owned by the Kruse family. I know some Kruses from San Marcos, I wonder if they are related.
