Also Posted on "Ask Mike"My catalytic converter separated from my exhaust manifold.(2006, H3, 140,00 miles, drove hard off rode) Think I know why. I raised my body 1 inch with hockey pucks. Realize now thisraises the exhaust manifold but NOT the exhaust tubing. Puts stress on themanifold at the seam of the catalytic converter which is all welded togetherwithin the manifold. (If you use a body lift you need to raise your exhausthangers!!) Thought I was going to get a new manifold immediately but my 10 yearold rode in the hummer and said, “Wow dad, this really sounds good. What didyou do?” I explained and he said I should just leave it this way. Well, knowlong term I can’t do that but thought I would spend more time researching andshare here. Doing a search found no posts on different brands. Did find a post with a pic on the excact thing that happened to me but no follow up on what he replaced with. My gut says to go with the Magnaflow
