H3 May be time to sell the H3

So I've thought long and hard about this but I feel it maybe time to part with the H3. I'm up for offers and no I will not part anything out unless I have a buyer lined up who may not want some of the parts on it. I think it's time I get something more suited to my lifestyle which is definitely a pickup since I want to haul a boat/kayaks easier than on the roof. If I had the funds I would buy an h3t in a heartbeat but it's hard to find an alpha h3t anywhere near my budget at the moment.

This is my build thread which explains most if not all of my build.
130k on body. Has a brand new motor with 7k and a brand new t-case with 1k. Only thing it needs is a new grill because one side is cracked.

Agreed, my plan was to save up over the summer and try and find an alpha t but then my t-case blew and set me back a bit. It was always a hit or miss when it came to finding a decent priced rig

Oh well! I'm on the fence wether or not I want to keep a majority of my aftermarket parts in storage for if and when I get an h3t, tough call but I'm gonna have to figure it out

It is custom setup. The snorkel part that sticks out is actually for a Jeep Wrangler by Rugged Ridge; however, with a bit of custom work and making your own tube that runs from the air box to the snorkel you can make one. It is actually cheaper to do it this way then buying an ARB one.

Thanks for writing it all out for me! Oh I'm gonna miss the hummer community, always there to help others.
Quick update: I have a buyer lined up who says he can't sleep without owning my truck lol he wants it so bad. I'm looking into silverados at the moment, but nothing definite yet. Definitely not my last h3, this one has been great but next time around will need to be an alpha h3/h3t. If I don't end up leasing a new Silverado which is an option, in a year or so I'll start an h3t build!

Cool trucks! I have but they are definitely a bit steep for my price range. If I leased a truck I would probably buy it out at the end of the lease so 30-35k ish would be my ideal price range. The zr2s don't fit in that category sadly. Other option is to buy another truck around 15k and own it free and clear but it's also tricky finding something in that range as well that isn't completely beat to crap. I'm obviously taking lift/tires into consideration with that price as well.

x2 on the ZR2, I’ve seen a lot of loaded V6 models listed for $36k. You could definitely lease based on that pricing, and IMHO the V6 is better for streetability and faster activities like sand dunes.

Thanks man! Honestly it's 99% because of the need for a pickup. Reliability was also an issue due to going to school 1000 miles from home in NJ to Florida, breaking down somewhere on i95 is never a good scenario. I was leaning towards older silverados 05 (classic) models. Although, my dad really advised me to get something newer and more reliable also with side airbags. On that note I actually ended up going with a 2018 GMC Sierra Elevation Edition, just a lease but a potential buy out.

I looked into the colorados but I wanted something a bit bigger, the zr2s are definitely cool trucks though. Going to build this thing up a bit but nothing crazy, just level it out on some 33s. Going to miss the hummer but it went to a great owner! I recommended him to join the forums so I am hoping he does so. With that being said I'll always feel part of the hummer community and will update my build from time to time!

Mines been great so far but definitely not as plush as the h3, brand new so it should probably settle a bit.
