Good AM and Good question. Its posted on the park website which trails are closed, which is very helpful.

Rain can make some water areas too deep to safely ford thru. H3's are good up to about 24" fording thru water.

Mud makes trails very slick, rocks move so it can have a big effect on things!

Of course safety first, if we determine its not going to be safe and fun we will reschedule!

Hopefully between now and next weekend the sun will dry up some of the mud and muck. I always bring mud boots just in case!

Good question and good answer Candi. The only thing I would add is several weeks ago there was a group of H1's and we were out while it was raining. It was manageable but the trails were very narrow at Bridgeport and the chances for damage were too high so we cancelled. As we get closer we can determine if it needs to be rescheduled but as dry as it has been I would think that it will be dry by then unless it keeps raining.

Got 4 1/2"of rain at my house but Matt is right, as dry as it has been if it stops raining I think the park will be fine.

Is that park mostly white rock, dirt or a combination.

I know at Glenrose(sp) it was a combination and the more it rained the better that place got.

Well, as long as we cancel hotel reservations 24 hours in advance then I'll be very, very disappointed but I'll live. Unfortunately I won't be able to take another vacation for 6 more months & that one is reserved for a cruise. Hopefully it works out!

Julie , I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this and I'm an optimist! It might be the only time GMLarry's schedule and mine align so he can go offroading with me! Lol. Unless it rains days and nights we should be good to go!

I remember how excited I was the first time I wheeled my truck. It will great fun!

I really agree with Candi. We really have nothing to worry about unless it keeps raining. It has already stopped and things look good.
