That's sad to hear but thanks for sharing.

I've told the story here a few times of helping get a guy airlifted off the trail after he rolled when not wearing a seat belt. But I've also dealt with a couple of rollovers where people were shaken (but not stirred) because they were wearing seat belts. So far, the concept of wearing seat belts is firmly planted in favor of, vs. against, in my experience.

I know many people believe in not wearing seatbelts when off road, but I'm a believer in wearing them. Thought it was kinda funny once at the Outpost when a newbie came up to me and told me one of the veterans suggested that one of the most important things he could do when wheeling in Moab was to NOT wear a seatbelt. He didn't heed that advice.

Drivers are free to make their choices, but I thought that was an odd thing to push onto a newbie.
