I will still go with these. I cant figure out if rigid is the **** and that much better or if they just rip you off and the other guys have good quality also but are fair with pricing.

Rigid made in the USA [Arizona] and has a lifetime warranty, the guys running desert races seem to be happy with them, so I ordered a set for the pismo beach event this weekend. I'll install it tomorrow, I didn't expect the Rigid kit to have everything I need in the box, harness with DT connectors and the whole works. I need to track down amber covers for it so I can have the lights double as "fog lights" when I'm not off road.

Since I bought mine the same time RamRod bought his I would assume they are from the same batch so I should expect to lose some paint too? For a saving of over $500 compared to others a little paint coming off isnt really a bid deal but still a bummer...

The new gen 2 bars come with a lifetime warranty!!!!! and as for the paint, it was one batch, but if anyone has problems from that batch let me know and I will contact the owner and fix it for you. Also, there will be no paint issues anymore because the owner bought a powder coater.

I'm biting my tongue from what I said before. Rigids were the original ones then all the knock offs came out and saw them get broken in person and assumed these were just another set of knock offs but these seem to be the rigid type quality without the rigid price.

What LEDs do they use?

Do they have tube mounts available?

You could use these tube mounts from Rigid Industries: :link: And cheaper brand :link:

here are links to tube mounts, I bought the cheaper brand quoted above, or you could spend more $$ if you want the Rigid name on the same piece of metal...the cheaper ones I got are good quality and work fine.

As for the LED's I believe they are cree...

Hey Ron i was wondering if you could ask your friend a couple questions for me.

1. The Cree LED's hes using what grade are they?
2. What driver is he using?

Thanks!

The gen 2 bars use only cree leds, and they use the same drivers as the rigids. The gen 2 bars are fully water proof, they have unbreakable glass, and they come with a lifetime warranty.

For all the people thinking of buying a light bar let me just say this. I was looking at light bars for almost a year before I got mine thru Ron. There was no way I was going to pay $1000+ for a light bar. That being said rigid, KC, and all the name brands were not an option. I was left with all the non name brands which are basically a crap shoot. I see a bunch of people on Craigslist selling bars for around the same price as Ron's guy so I almost went with a local seller whose prices were comparable but these guys are strangers so I don't know their character and if they stand behind their product. I went thru Ron because I know he will stand up for us, and since his buddy is getting a lot of recognition on our forum he probably wouldn't want to make a bad name for himself if anybody had problems. Turns out I got mine for a little cheaper than all the other guys and I know if I have a problem I'm not on my own.

So you can pay for a name brand, buy from a stranger, or get a good deal thru Ron and have some peace of mind if you have problems your not on your own.

I have to agree

They did get me sorted out in the end, proof that Ron (and Off Road LED Bars) have our backs!

Got the 4" rounds installed last night... here is a iPhone pic comparing the various setup... its doesn't do it much justice... but it gives you a bit of an idea of the differences:

compair.JPG

Should have included one of the Head lights and 40'' bar without the 4'' rounds but w/e

Great pic! My friend just got in dually d2s. They are $125 for the pair and are 2200 lumens a piece. They are extremely bright for such a small light

We need a truck that is by Newbury Park California to be a mock up truck, anyone interested? THey will receive a free mount. Also if anybody wants some led bars let me know. The dually d2s have 6 cree leds and they are 3800 lumens a piece. They are brighter then rigid dually d2s.

Any news on H3 roof mounts for the 40" bar?

That's 166 miles from me. How long do you anticipate needing the truck?

Two different times, one to take measurements, and one to mount it up once its built. Unless they can do it all in one or two days.
