Mine is Tom Baker. Pretty much grew up watching him.

My dad was a big doctor who fan but of all the scifi he watched I just couldn't get into it. Since jumping on the reboot bandwagon I have tried to go back and watch the older stuff. Just can't do it.

It can be hard watching it with all the cheesy special effects. When John Nathan-Turner took over production, things got better as seen in the last couple seasons of Tom Baker. But then he got really weird when Colin Baker took over. The show went on a hiatus for a while until Sylvester McCoy took over. Unfortunately, that was also a bad time at BBC so the show abruptly ended until Steven Moffat brought it back once he saw how much people went ape for the show when the US tried to reboot it in 1996 with Paul McGann as the Doctor.

If you can tolerate watching them, the old episodes will bring a lot of backstory to many of the modern episodes, especially any involving Daleks, Cybermen, Sontaran or even when the Doctor visited Gallifrey. I totally geeked out when the Doctor met Davros as a child in the season premier. That was just awesome!

Peter Cushing played the Doctor in the first two movies.

Nice! My dad was a pilot and in my early years he worked for a company which was mobile moving from job to job hauling the helicopters on flat beds with all the mechanics, pilots, etc all wagon training it with the helis. We lived in an airstream pulled behind his old international. Didn't have TV or anything but once every six months we would rent a tv and a vcr and would rent tron, the Star Wars trilogy, Indiana jones, and young dr Frankenstein at my request and then mom and dad would rent whatever movies had come out during that period they had wanted to see. Fond memories. Grew up watching those movies over and over again.

I was a very active participant in the Flynn Lives ARG. I received a lot of cool swag. Stuff like an Encom badge lanyard, Space Paranoids pins, Demo cards from Encom advertising their new games, etc.

One day, I ventured out to Culver City and had my picture taken . . .
