I was standing next to my 3 last night when a mini cooper convertible full of tough guys drove by and yelled something about being a "f****** ***gott" Now, they yelled about a hummer, too. Were they calling me that specifically because of the hummer, or because I was getting money from a dude at an ATM in the middle of the night? I mean, I don't understand how driving a hummer makes me gay, but the ATM thing would make sense.

Just sayin'.

Anyways, they drove by twice to make sure I heard but I just ignored them. Green convertible mini cooper in Provo, UT if anyone sees them around....

Might be the whole getting money from a guy at the ATM thing. What time of night was it? And was he dressed in drag? Ya never know. Kind of thinking this is a joke. If so, funny. And you might just fit in around here with us oddballs. If not, find some new friends lol

They must have been real brave tough guys to have the courage to yell at a stranger from a moving car like that.... cuz... that really takes a lot of guts....

sounds to me like you were propositioned.... after all, we all know that green mini cooper convertibles are the VW rabbit convertible of the 21st century

Funny you mention the convertible Rabbit......
We were cruising in my buddies truck one night as teens and some clowns in a convertible Rabbit drove past and tossed a soda can into the back of the truck. We spent some time chasing them down and finally got them to stop. They decided to get out and try to start a fight; I climbed my skinny butt out (140 pounds), my buddy (the driver) got out, and the Rabbit guys thought they were going to stomp us---then our large friend, Butch, a tackle on the high school foot ball team grunted out of the truck and they changed their mind about everything they'd ever done wrong in life, including the terrible mistake they made throwing a can in the back of our truck that night.
It was priceless!

Oh, and that thing about you being confused, when I read the header for this post I got to hoping you weren't going to bring up coming out of the closet on the forum.
Then you go and mention about making a transaction with another guy at the ATM in the middle of the night and I, unfortunately, realized you are confused.........:bob

To lift your spirits...was talking to hubby on the phone earlier when he said the only thing gay'er than owning a Prius is the guy in front of me driving a sky blue one...then he proceeded to laugh uncontrollably for the next minute!

I have a good friend whose profession during his 20s was bodybuilding - which was supported by his other love of throwing people out of bars (bouncer) - he is 6-5 310, looks like a very large brick. He told me something that has stood me in good stead ever since - he said this, "you're the type of a person who make people worry. Small guys, we pick up and throw out of the bar. Big guys know they're going to get hurt if they get in a fight, so they generally don't. Guys like you (I'm 6-1 210 lbs, pretty fit), we know are going to get a few hits in as well that are going to hurt." It keeps me out of fights because I know that no matter the size the other person (presuming sanity) is going to be worried.... so coming out very aggressively tends to stop fights before they ever start. The last time (decades ago) I came at a guy running at him, he was quite certain he wanted a fight until he saw me running at him, looking forward to kicking his ass - he turned to run the other way and tripped over his feet. He started to get back up, I pushed him back down and asked him if he really wanted his ass kicked. He said "no"... :) which is good because my knuckles hurt for weeks after a good fight.... and I really didn't want his blood on my shoes.

Well, I was actually wearing an old prom dress that I found, but it was a thursday night, you know....

but seriously, i had just moved out of my apartment and my landlord was giving me my deposit back. he wanted to get out of town so I moved and cleaned until pretty late. I was standing next to my truck when these guys drove by. I didn't look up or anything, I mean if someone shouts at you from a car then they're the chickenest kind of tough guy. It's just hard to care about that kind of thing. Now if they're going to vandalize my truck that's a different story!!! besides, how big are you, really, if you fit in a mini cooper?

I just thought I'd share since I've never been shouted at like that based on my car (based on other things, sure, but not my car) and I could make it into a funny story because of the ATM thing :) I figured my fellow hummer nuts would appreciate it. Besides, statistically speaking, how much more likely are hummer owners to be carrying a gun of some kind? I bet a LOT. I was carrying that night. eh. whatever.

Ha, and don't worry folks, I'm not coming out on the forum. I was married for 4 years (to a girl) and now I'm dating a super nice girl. Gayness doesn't really bother me either. be gay, whatever, doesn't bother me.

my brother's friend drives a prius and is trying to be an actor in california. I immediately pegged him as gay because of those 2 things! ha ha, then I told my self righteous politically correct uncle that and he got really offended. lighten up, dude!!!

I'd offer to take the Mini Cooper guys gold prospecting. Lots of Desert and they can dig their own hole.
