Someone needs to come up with a modern car stereo with integrated CB. Single DIN, double DIN, whatever (double DIN preferred). A thread I've seen on every 4x4 related site I've ever been on is where to mount the CB. I realize there are issues with the antenna, but adding a 2nd antenna or swapping the AM/FM antenna for a CB one then adding a tunable splitter could fix this. Better yet, have the splitter built into the radio. I know these were around in the 70's and early 80's, but generally sucked. I realize I could probably get a single DIN stereo and add a small CB and fit it in a double DIN mount, but it wouldn't be as clean nor could it easily do things like use the stereo speakers for CB.

Wouldn't be mainstream interest, but it seems to me a company could make a profit marketing these to niche groups.

I think they did make one.

Back in the 80's.:giggle: It even came with 8-track.

But I agree. One would be nice. Without the 8-track...

I KNOW they made them in the 70's/80's. I have an '81 Corvette and one of the options from the factory was a radio w/CB. I don't have one, but saw it when looking up all the possible options my car could have come with. As a humorous side note, my car had the new fangled cassette player and the glove box had a built in 8-track tape rack.

Modern, that's the key. If I were to replace my existing head unit it would have to be at least as good as the stock Monsoon (which isn't that great) and have certain features such as blutooth for playing music off my smartphone. A radio/CB combo with a junky by modern standards radio is not something I'd be interested in. Decent AM/FM stereo, blutooth, CB, reasonable price and I'd be all over it. Maybe navigation if it could plot offroad trails and easy free map updates. No need for playing CDs, DVD movies, remotes... I'm quite certain nothing like this exists, but I'd be happy to be proved wrong.
