I broke my front diff skid plate

I broke my factory aluminium skid plate over the front differential (i don't want to talk about it). Are there any aftermarket ones that are tougher, or is that something that I could have a off road fab shop make for me?

I'm thinking about getting some UCP anyways and having a front skid plate made that will go far enough back so that there won't be a gap. also I may have that plastic bumper replaced with a smaller metal one while they're at.

good idea? bad?

To confirm: are you talking the black ribbed skid plate or the front splash shield attached to the bumper? The black one is steel, not aluminum. The splash shield is aluminum. They are not expensive to replace, and of course you can always have a fab shop make one for you.

Here is the setup I run DOI skids, you won't be able to purchase one because he doesn't make them anymore. But you might get some ideas from it.

Yeah, I think I ordered one of those black ribbed skid plates to replace the bent one on my T but it's been so damn long since I ordered it that now I'm thinking it was during a dream, as it never arrived! :what:

Both of you have it wrong. Yes, there was a delay. Still trying to find out where the original shipment is. But, the special request for pink powder coating on the skid? Ghey!! Well, unless its Cotillos rig. Which it's not. And on the way. No bill yet Luis. Will bill you once you get it

John Allen, if you broke yours as in cracked it in half or something I still think I have my old one but I know for a fact it's dented beat to **** and the skid touches the diff, if you still want it you can I just have double check I still have it and didn't give it to someone else

yeah, it's the aluminum one that goes under the front diff. i like that DOI one and how it connects to the tranny skid, that's what I want. too bad that guy isn't making them anymore. oh well, i'll just talk to a shop. thanks for the input.
