So I'm taking the shortcut to the mall, errr field testing a steering bracket instead of gently turning the wheel to see if it moves, and............
I was told it was my fault for not having a "Don't follow me" sticker." I said if you don't have a "Hummer Recovery Sticker" you can wade over here with your strap and hookup. It was about crotch deep on this guy. Fun time, just a bunch of Arkies playin.
I selected the Jeep Recovery button, 4hi and proceeded to idle out.:shifty:

Very slowly, my normal method. I had only been there 5 minutes when he followed me thru. That is the first pool to get into where it's fun. It only came up to about my rock rails while I was moving. He had on small street tires. I guess what comes on them for carrying the mail so they are the right height for rural boxes?
It might be my turn next time?
"just cause it's clean don't mean it's not mean" lol it was nice clean Saline River water until we stirred it up.
That muddy water where I am sitting was being churned up by several four wheelers. The pool he is in is back up from the river right behind my H3.

This was not one of those set up photo-ops. I did not even know these people. Story of my life if I want good pictures and videos I have to set them up and trigger remotely. I was way on down the river bank when a six wheeler asked if I could come back and help. Why of course but I had to have a Kodak moment when I got there.
Can't believe you asked if I went thru it. That sounds like something "some" Jeep guys would ask. Actually river is on the left in that picture and was flowing swiftly and too deep and on the right is a line of trees and downed logs and even more water and mud. This was just loose river gravel and he was spinning in it. This is the only way into the rest of the area so is tempting to try.
I don't mind getting dirty when the need arises but wash it off so I can see all the parts. I just don't drive around showing off my mud.

I guess you misunderstood my question. I'm not trying to measure your penis, it was a statement of how clean your rig looked. My apologies, I'll keep my questions to myself.

It is strange how in pictures the white does not show the overall film of gray road dirt but red mud shows up.

Still tight. This is one of the places I like to play on that is uneven up and down, one wheel up and one down. Flexes things real good. There are lots of other little places that fully move all the parts of the suspension. I came at it from several angles and could stop and check the rack while it was angled up and going down. Guess I need a GoPro mounted on there. My UW housing is too big for the camera I have.

The white rigs don't show the dirt as much unless it it is covered in mud. I am the only one in the group in So Cal that is white. And always get comments that it looks clean compared to the darker rigs. Little do they know. Haven't really washed it in months lol. The only thing that really comes out is the pinstripes, and there's a lot of them

My truck is mostly white. so does that count as a second white truck in SoCal? I certainly do appreciate y truck being white rather than black.

When it comes to choice of color; my '98 Firebird is black, my K1500 is a color they call midnight sapphire blue, and it was real easy when it came to choosing my Hummer. I chose the boulder gray over the dark gray or other darker colors when I shopped around. I had enough dark vehicles already.

This place is sometimes completely underwater when the Saline floods. It gets up as high as that Interstate Hwy bridge! Then when it goes down the landscape is all renewed! The far end of this area is a launch ramp managed by the State Game and Fish. It is not a large area but attracts locals for a fun day and great for me to test flex things without driving too far.
Superlift is only about another 20 minutes but gets way more involved and is so big you need to get with a couple of vehicles or nobody would find you!

I do. It really messes with the Jeeper's heads. :giggle: By the way, I bought a YJ a couple weeks ago just to run around the farm with. The thought has crossed my mind to setup some pics. Are you sure that's not what happened here?

Yes while doing some preventive maintenance, I thought what the heck and painted the rusty axle ends and calipers.
I usually replace the hub caps but get lazy and sometimes you never know when you might have to "drive off the beaten path"

I got the call for help in an area right next to that where a Ruby was all jacked around in the mud and uneven ground. I would have not tried it. Can't fault someone who was really trying to get in the bad stuff. I decided not to walk up with the camera as there was a crowd and I didn't want to look like a bad guy. I just winched him out.
Got to meet rawls in his T and the guy in the Jeep. Maybe we can get together some time.

Just plain ole Rustoleum, and yes it stay on reeel gud!
