Guys, I noticed a couple sellers have the metal Humvee watches listed on ebay (no, not me), if anyone's interested. Kind of neat, maybe for die hard guys wanting Humvee accessories (although it's not a 'Hummer' licensed product).
They were made some years ago when Hummers were all the rage. I'm sure *Humvee* allowed them to get around the licensing. They had tactical lights and adventure gear. I don't see these type of watches listed very often. I bought one last spring (used) and really like it. It doesn't seem super elcheapo, but obviously not an expensive time-piece either. I'd say it's about like a decent Rolex fake. The one good thing about them is a really nice looking sunburst face. The dive ring is real and 'clicks' positively in a clockwise manner like a good dive bezel should. Mine has a silicone band which I prefer in this case.
Of course a dive ring has a lot more uses than diving. Say you're starting an activity at 12:25 (maybe a trail) and need to know how long you did something, you can set the "0" at 12:25 and know quickly how long you've been doing it by the timing markings on the dial. Or you can just use a smart-watch too!
Anyway, I know watches are really personal taste, and what is decent to one person might be 'junk' to another. Everyone has their preference. Just thought I'd pass it on though. Cheers!!
