Hummer -1, Challenger +1

So today after a brief 6 months of ownership, I decided that 3 Hummers was 1 Hummer too many and I traded in the '06 H2 for a 2012 Dodge Challenger Rallye Redline edition. It was just too damn pretty sitting on the dealers lot for no one else to be driving it.

I sure hope that GM is finally sitting up and taking notice. I am true to my word that I would rather GM fail than buy another car from them. Anyways, this thing is super sweet, keyless, paddle shift. red leather interior, touch screen nav, bluetooth, pretty much loaded and it's fasssttt to boot.

I drove a Challenger and a Camaro when I was looking for a car for my daughter. There was no comparison. I would have bought the Challenger and then she asked for a Jeep. I bought the Jeep. I love those cars. Enjoy it.

The truck that I took to Sunday River in 2011 I still have, the '05 H2. This was the '06 slate blue H2, and it was more of a pavement princess than what it was made for. I actually contemplated selling the '05 H2 for about 12 microseconds and realized that was an epically dumb idea The '10 H3T is like owning a pet unicorn, you know it's there, you know it's real, but no one believes you lol. My end goal in all this vehicle wrangling I have been doing is to get the Hummers into a state where they can be trail rigs and not just daily drivers. I've done that with the H2 (<500 miles driven on it this year), now it's the 3T's turn.

Of the three: Challenger, Mustang, Camaro the Challenger is certainly the best looking. I know when the magazines do the "shootouts" and "best new musclecar" type comparisons it's typically Mustang or Camaro on top leapfrogging each other with Challenger in 3rd, but as someone that hasn't driving any of them I'd lean toward the Challenger. I don't care if car A is .1 seconds quicker to 60, or can handle a slalom 3 mph faster.. A muscle car needs to look tough, and the Challenger is the toughest looking of the bunch.

Personally I don't care a single iota about which is faster than which. Around these parts Mustangs are a dime a dozen. Every 5 cars on the road is a mustang. To be honest I have seen more Shelbys on the road than Challengers. Camaro is a GM product and they don't deserve my business even if every car rating web site in the world said it's the best. The Challenger on the other hand, looks just like a classic muscle car, except it has blue tooth, touch screen nav, keyless go, anything you could want in a modern car, but it never sacrifices on design. It's the Hummer of muscle cars. It looks like it can chew on lead bars and spit out bullets, it has the creds and heritage to back it up too. The new mustangs are nice, but they made the styling too cutesy in 2012 for a "muscle car".

I have never in my life owned a car that has received so many compliments from so many different people. I've owned many nice cars, including a few high end sports cars, but this one tops them all in compliments to the nth power.

Not sure if you caught my intent, this is exactly what I was saying. Partially a "love the car, great choice" and partially a preemptive "it doesn't matter what the magazines say about how it compares to something else" post.
