Pretty good deal. Getting the redone is not too expensive. Although, seems like the market for them has significantly dropped. Few years ago, high demand and price. When I dumped my sets
That depends if your powdercoater is willing to properly media blast them. I went a better route and had mine chemically stripped before dropping them off at the PC'er.
Very true! Unfortunately most powder coater will just shoot them without sandblasting unless you ask them to. Makes all the difference! Unblasted they will flake right of guaranteed in the first year. That's my only gripe with the Kryptonite products. They powder coat the raw parts with no blasting and it just flakes of and looks like crap right away. It's the little things that make a big difference!
Of course the place that quoted me sandblasts them, I already had them do my brush guard and it looks new 3 years later. This is a very reputable place that does a lot of business. I actually went to high school with the owners son.
The steps are aluminum if my memory serves correct. Some PC'ers will not blast aluminum or have the ability to do so. Mine does not which was why I took them for chemical stripping prior to PC.
