had this one saved....
Flash asked me in another post about my CB antenna mount. I had never got around toposting these but here are some pictures from when I installed all this.
The bracket is a strong metalpiece that I found at the farm supply store. It is the end piece for some spade or plow I Paid $2. (FYI per neverendingproject..." that bracket is a bracket that holds down a sickle bar on combines and hay cutters. The sickleslides side to side and that bracket holds it down.")
I had to drill one hole inthe top of the "arc" to put the end of the antenna wire through. Use a good drill bit this is temperedsteel. I used a 90 degree CB cable elboconnector and with the arc it all fits perfect in/on the track.
I used some bolts and washers(1" I think) to go under the "slide" then I capped thebolt end with a round tipped end bolt. Then I used some self etching primer and then a couple of coats of blackto match my other accessories.
Final picture is where Imounted CB in dash. I ran wires upthrough column and under marker light then used black silicone to sealeverything up around light.
ps, it has held up great for two years except the paint chipping off some.
