He needs to check everything vented on the truck. As high as the water got he may have had water get into his vent tubes. Also the electronics on the top half of the motor are not particularly well insulated from water intrusion. I saw a side video of this that did not look as deep. He kept up a good bow wave during the video but it did not show the deepest water depth

I wouldn't have done it to the point where it's over the hood. As 3 Hummers stated, full C-service is required.

Last time I played in the water, I had a geared hub seize up, turns out it had a military 2 piece style seal that had 1 piece missing, so basically the hub was being lubricated by mud :v.

Fortunately Ihad a few spares, waiting to rebuild it.

It's good to have a safety margin of a foot or so I found, because sometimes you'll hit a sink hole/erosion or the mud isn't stable enough to support the weight of the truck and you drop another foot halfway though the ford
