...might as well start a thread where we can add whatever repeaters we prefer to use when out and about. The ones I have listed below are all available for anyone to use as long as you have a valid FCC license:

Southern Orange County CA:
SOARA 2 Meter: 147.645, PL 110.9 (great)
SOARA 2 Meter: 145.240, PL 110.9 (decent)

Greater LA, Inland Empire:
CLARA: 145.220, PL 103.5

Coastal So Cal:
Catalina Island: 147.090, PL 79.7 "when needed"

Big Bear, CA:
Big Bear repeater: 147.330, PL 131.8.

Moab, UT
146.900, PL 88.5
146.760, PL 88.5 (I'm pretty sure this was the one I ended up listening to the most, it had REAL good coverage)

From h2005:
Southern Utah/Northern Arizona Repeaters

146.960- 100 pl Navajo Mountain Utah (Lake Powell)
145.350- No pl Bryce Canyon Utah
147.160+100 pl Mt Dutton Panguitch Utah
146.720- 100 pl Spencer Bench (South Central Utah)
146.800- 100 pl Blowhard Mtn Utah
147.080+136.5 Mt Ellen Utah
147.300+100 Pl Jacob Lake Az (North Rim Grand Canyon)

From MaxPF:
147.360 PL 162.2 - ARA Rimlink repeater on Mt. Ord. Good coverage for the East Valley all the way to Payson and up the Rim. Linked to 147.140 on Mt.
Elden (Flagstaff coverage), 147.200 on Pinal Peak (Globe), and 146.72 on Greens Peak (McNary). This linked repeater system covers a lot of territory, which
makes it very useful.
146.920 PL 162.2 - ARA repeater on Mt Ord. Similar coverage to the "360" repeater. this repeater is linked to 147.240 on Shaw Butte in Phoenix, and has
an open autopatch.
441.725 PL 100.0 - ARA Calzona repeater on the White Tanks mountains west of Phoenix. Repeater is linked to 927.3375 (PL 151.4) on the White Tanks as
well as 146.680 (PL 162.2) on Smith Peak (Aguilla). Repeater can be linked to 146.940 in San Diego using link codes.
AZ in general is fortunate to have so many high mountain peaks scattered around. All the good ones have repeaters, so repeater coverage is good most
places in the state. Quite a few have autopatch capability which is handy since it's easy to find yourself somewhere with no cell phone coverage.

National Simplex:
146.520: This frequency is allocated for use as simplex all over the country and as such is a great frequency to listen to as you drive along. Out here in SoCal there are a number of frequencies that can be used for simplex, such as 144.350, but these frequencies might be in use for other purposes in other parts of the country.

Great info, thank you.
If I remember right the Moab area repeaters have changed, Royce just got a local moab machine up and running again and I think it is now linked to all of the sdarc repeaters. I will post them when I get back to my computer. Not sure if anyone is a member of the cactus intertie but there is a repeater near Moab and one near Monticello that are linked to the cactus.
