gmos-04 help

so ive connected the obvious wires and im left with a few im unsure of... the picture is oriented with the new head unit at the top and the stock harness at the bottom... the stuff to the left ive deemed not needed cause im not hooking up a head unit with navigation... the stuff on the right has me confused... out of the back of the new radio I have a yellow(constant 12v) and a black(ground)... the axxess harness I wired it into that plugs in to the new radio side of the gmos-04 has a orange/white(dimmer)..... and out of the harness that plugs in to the factory connector has a yellow(constant 12v), black(ground), orange(illumination/dash light) and orange/white(dimmer)..... im guessing the yellow goes to yellow and black goes to black bypassing the gmos-04 unit... the dimmer wires and the illumination/dash light wire have me stumped.... please help.... and where would be a good place to tap in with the constant 12v and switched 12v for my cb?

I had some wires that were not used with my new radio, a Pioneer. You won't use all the wires if the radio does not have the function.

question #1... do I connect the black and yellow on the top of the pic to the black and yellow on the bottom of the pic?

Tied the blacks together and the yellows together. Taped the rest off. Tied in pigtails on the new radio side for the CB wires.... Ground, constant 12v and switched 12v..... Guess we'll see if anything smokes tomorrow....

You do have directions don't you? I bought mine from Crutchfield and did call in to make sure I had everything wired together. I had an issue with the blue/white I think that ended up not used.

Yeah.... I called them too.... Think I got it figured out.
